“The Devil Wears Prada 2” Review
Here’s the synopsis: Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway) and Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep) are back as fashion publishing’s most unlikely duo, 20 years after the original film. This time, they’re battling the decline of the print industry, meddling billionaire investors, and former co-worker-turned-fashion CEO, Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt).

✅ Why It Works: I freaking loved this. Admittedly, I am a fan of the first film, so no surprise there. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how clever and well-thought-out this sequel was.
As someone in the media industry (in real life, not this newsletter lmao), it was on the nose when it came to the culture clash between old-school print pubs and new, billionaire-owned media. I also appreciated the character development — it really did feel like everyone had 20 more years of experience, but they were still true to their 2006 selves.
❌ Why It Doesn’t: You really need to see the OG film first. Otherwise, this won’t make sense.
